Wight Hot Pipes is now a 6 piece Celtic Rock band featuring bagpipes.
The band performs in an extravaganza of music and kilted costume and produces musical arrangements of outstanding quality, with professionalism.
Wight Hot Pipes is an ideal band for large indoor or outdoor events whether corporate or private and will provide a unique and unforgettable show to bring the house down.
Wight Hot Pipe's ethos is to present modern musical pieces in a new and exciting Celtic rock genre and to entertain with contemporary arrangements of traditional and modern music.
The artists perform to a high standard achieving a great audience impact and creative entertainment, which is a feast for the eyes and ears.
They have just produced a DVD/CD. The CD features The Gael (part one), Border Reiver and Banjo Breakdown and the DVD features videos of The Gael Video and Going Home and a Picture Slideshow.
Their first CD 'The Road Ahead' produced in 2009 in aid of Earl Mountbatten Hospice is available for purchase at £5. It is now available to download from iTunes.
From Amazing Grace and theme from Titanic, to the bagpipe version of Queen's rock piece 'We will rock you'. There will be favourites such as Highland Cathedral and the popular dance piece - the Gay Gordons - Hendrix style. The CD will culminate with The Last Post on bugle and Flowers of the Forest on the bagpipes with special contribution from Alan Titchmarsh's rendering of 'The Fallen'.
From CD sales and a sell out concert Wight Hot Pipes raised over £7000 for the hospice.
In October 2010 they performed a successful concert at Cowes Yacht Haven with other members of the medical profession and raised over £1400. The band have also performed at private functions.
The DVD/CD is produced by singer/songwriter Jamie Griffin of Flyte Studio in Brighstone on the Isle of Wight.

Yarmouth Old Gaffers' Festival on Saturday 4th June from 2-3pm.
Isle of Wight Highland Games at Robin Hill Country Park on Saturday 21st August.
